Responsibilities
- Plan, analyze, design, code, test, consult on, implement, and support application development projects.
- Develop and maintain technical, functional, and user interface solutions aligned with engineering, architecture, security, quality, and business requirements.
- Participate in architecture decisions, solution design, technology evaluations, code reviews, operational readiness reviews, and development standards.
- Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to developers, including coaching, mentoring, and knowledge transfer.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions with business systems analysts and collaborate with project managers on timelines and delivery milestones.
- Define performance metrics and goals, review technical deliverables, identify design gaps, and support gating and review sign-offs.
- Provide technical support for escalated incidents and outages and help operationalize reliable, scalable solutions.
- Ensure project deliverables meet milestones, budgets, documentation, corporate quality standards, security standards, and technology delivery practices.
Requirements
- University or postgraduate degree, preferably with a strong academic background in computer science or engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience with substantial software development project work.
- Experience with domain-driven design, microservices design patterns, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, RESTful APIs, Java 8 or later, and PL/SQL.
- Database experience with one or more of MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with MQ, Maven or Gradle, Confluence, and Swagger.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps and CI/CD and knowledge of Agile processes.
- Ability to work independently under minimal guidance, solve complex problems, adapt to changing business needs, and share expertise with less experienced colleagues.
- Advanced knowledge of relevant engineering frameworks, technologies, tools, processes, procedures, business applications, systems, networks, and standards.
- Knowledge of collateral management and margining is an added advantage.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical professionals.
