Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, resilient, message-driven services using Java and Micronaut.
- Build and maintain backend systems supporting trading, asset infrastructure, portfolio lifecycle, payments, risk, balances, and exposure management.
- Write clean, future-proof code with unit, end-to-end, and integration testing before deployment.
- Optimize payment modules and services for reliability, maintainability, performance, and scalability.
- Research and adopt emerging backend technologies and collaborate with product, quantitative, risk, trading, and engineering stakeholders.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software development experience using Java and modern frameworks such as Micronaut or Spring Boot.
- Understanding of relational and non-relational databases, with Postgres and MongoDB experience preferred.
- Experience creating and maintaining publicly available APIs, with a strong understanding of performance optimization and scalability.
- Practical experience with message-oriented middleware and event-driven microservices; Apache Kafka or ZeroMQ experience is preferred.
- Understanding of CI/CD and familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, or another public cloud platform.
