Base Salary
$159k - $271k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build internal AI-powered developer workflows, assistants, agentic SDLC automation, code-analysis tools, documentation tools, testing tools, migration tools, and engineering-support solutions.
- Develop reusable prompt, tool-calling, workflow, SDK, template, integration, copilot, and agent patterns for organization-wide adoption.
- Build multi-step agentic workflows, RAG-based internal knowledge solutions, and shared AI enablement capabilities.
- Partner with engineering teams, architects, engineering leaders, product, security, and other stakeholders to identify use cases, prototype solutions, and drive adoption.
- Provide technical guidance on LLM, RAG, agentic workflow, and AI implementation patterns through pairing, office hours, workshops, playbooks, and documentation.
- Define and apply evaluation, testing, safety, responsible-AI, PII-handling, human-review, logging, observability, and feedback-loop practices.
- Design for performance, latency, reliability, cost efficiency, prompt and context optimization, caching, retrieval efficiency, model routing, and avoidance of vendor lock-in.
- Support roadmap-aligned AI initiatives and measure the impact of engineering enablement and capacity improvements.
Requirements
- Typically 6+ years of software engineering experience building production applications or internal platforms.
- 2+ years of hands-on applied AI, LLM, generative AI, or agentic workflow experience.
- Strong production programming experience in Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar languages.
- Experience designing and building cloud-native applications or services in Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or AWS.
- Practical experience with LLM application development, prompt engineering and versioning, tool or function calling, RAG architectures, vector databases or semantic retrieval, and multi-step agent orchestration.
- Familiarity with Git-based development, automated testing, API design, observability, and logging.
- Experience using or enabling AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, or Codex.
- Ability to work directly with engineering teams to understand needs, prototype solutions, and drive adoption, with strong communication skills.
- Preferred experience includes internal developer platforms, engineering productivity tools, enablement frameworks, agent frameworks, evaluation frameworks, browser or workflow automation, enterprise search, privacy or regulated-data environments, and enterprise software or complex business domains.
- Preferred agent and orchestration tools include LangGraph, OpenAI Agents SDK, Google ADK, Semantic Kernel, and CrewAI; preferred evaluation tools include OpenAI Evals, LangSmith Evals, and RAGAS; preferred automation tooling includes Playwright.
