Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain highly concurrent, distributed backend services.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decisions.
- Design, develop, and test new features with a focus on quality and reliability.
- Profile and optimize system performance while diagnosing and resolving issues.
- Support feature releases and documentation.
- Estimate development and implementation effort.
- Contribute to coding standards and development processes.
- Provide out-of-hours support through an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Go or substantial JVM experience with Java and Spring Boot, plus willingness to learn Go.
- Experience developing and maintaining enterprise-grade systems at scale.
- Experience with highly concurrent, distributed architectures and systems.
- Experience with containerized applications and REST/HTTP-based services.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Some experience contributing to architectural decisions within a team.
- Strong test-suite design skills, including unit, integration, and smoke testing.
- Clear and effective communication of problems and solutions.
- Preferred familiarity with AWS services including SQS, SNS, and DynamoDB.
- Preferred exposure to Kafka, Kubernetes, or Terraform.
- Understanding of continuous delivery in cloud environments and the telecommunications industry is beneficial.
