Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services for order management, logistics-provider integrations, and real-time tracking.
- Develop reliable, high-throughput event-driven pipelines for logistics data.
- Build and maintain integrations with third-party logistics providers, ERP systems, and warehouse management systems.
- Own data models for shipments, inventory positions, and fulfillment nodes.
- Identify production performance bottlenecks and lead efforts to resolve them.
- Use OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini APIs to build intelligent workflows and automation.
- Collaborate with Product and domain experts to translate operational complexity into technical solutions.
- Contribute to architecture decisions and improve engineering quality through code reviews and documentation.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of backend engineering experience, ideally in logistics, supply chain, or operations-intensive domains.
- Strong command of Java with Spring Boot or equivalent JVM-based frameworks; Python experience is a strong plus.
- Experience designing systems for real-time data ingestion and processing using Kafka, Kinesis, or similar technologies.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and modeling complex, interrelated business domains.
- Understanding of distributed-systems trade-offs involving consistency, availability, and latency.
- Experience with third-party API integrations and legacy or external systems.
- Detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and motivated to build reliable production systems.
