Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of enterprise applications.
- Develop cloud-native solutions using Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Spark, SQL, and AWS services.
- Design and implement REST APIs and microservices-based architectures.
- Build and support AWS Lambda functions, AWS Batch jobs, containerized applications, and cloud integrations.
- Conduct code reviews and maintain development standards, code quality, and engineering best practices.
- Use GitHub for source control, branching, code reviews, and release management.
- Leverage Claude AI, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools to improve development productivity and code quality.
- Collaborate with architects, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to development team members.
- Support production environments, troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and improve performance.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decisions.
- Ensure adherence to security, reliability, and cloud governance standards.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience is required; the posting additionally specifies 7.5+ years in Java full-stack development.
- Strong hands-on experience in Java full-stack development, including Java, Spring Boot, AWS services, SQL, REST APIs, Spark, and microservices.
- At least 3 years of experience with AWS cloud services, including Lambda, Batch, containers, and related serverless technologies.
- Experience with AWS Lambda, Batch, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM, RDS, Glue, Redshift, and Step Functions.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS/EKS containerization technologies.
- Experience with GitHub repositories, source code management, code reviews, and release management.
- Experience using Claude AI, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI-assisted development tools for coding, troubleshooting, optimization, and productivity.
- Experience with application deployment, production support, performance tuning, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and production issue resolution.
- Experience leading development teams and delivering enterprise applications in Agile environments.
- Working knowledge of Node.js and AngularJS is an added advantage.
- Experience with application modernization, cloud migration, serverless architectures, event-driven architectures, and CI/CD pipelines is advantageous.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
