Base Salary
$138k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production software solutions.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
- Develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot applications using AWS and relational database systems.
- Apply testing, software development lifecycle, automation, resiliency, security, and operational stability practices.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating their outputs.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets, create visualizations and reports, and use identified patterns to improve code quality and system architecture.
- Guide peers on responsible, secure, and effective use of AI-assisted engineering tools.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining software in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Proficiency with Java and/or Spring Boot, plus experience with AWS and relational database management systems.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating, validating, and refining their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Overall knowledge of the software development lifecycle and solid understanding of agile-related engineering practices such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Python experience is preferred.
- Experience with or interest in AI agents and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) is preferred.
