Base Salary

$83k - $160k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated Python and/or C++ test frameworks for ADAS software on ECU and bench targets.
  • Create test libraries and utilities interfacing with embedded targets and vehicle networks, including CAN, XCP, Ethernet/TCP/UDP, and diagnostics.
  • Automate functional, robustness, timing, performance, reliability, and regression testing at component and subsystem levels.
  • Develop SIL/HIL and bench workflows for test orchestration, stimulus and response control, data capture, and result reporting.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions with actionable pass/fail criteria and traceability.
  • Build quality-assessment tooling across embedded services, middleware, sensor and feature interfaces, and ECU-to-ECU interactions.
  • Convert high-value manual test scenarios into stable automated coverage and reduce test cycle time.
  • Perform root-cause analysis using logs, traces, and network captures and collaborate with feature teams to resolve defects.
  • Contribute to code reviews, test design reviews, documentation, framework improvement, and lab infrastructure.
  • Help shape test strategy and coverage planning for stability, flakiness reduction, and scalability across benches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least three years of software development and/or test automation experience using Python and/or C++.
  • Experience building automated tests that interact with embedded targets, hardware benches, or networked devices.
  • Experience with HIL, SIL, or bench testing, including hardware control, flashing/deployment, data collection, and test scheduling.
  • Experience with automotive communication and measurement protocols or tools including CAN, XCP, UDS, DoIP, TCP/IP, and UDP.
  • Ability to debug complex failures using logs, traces, and systematic triage.
  • Experience with QNX and/or embedded Linux and embedded software integration concepts.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in an Agile environment.
  • Preferred experience with Jenkins, Git, GitHub, artifact and version management, Docker, PyTest, test reporting, and dashboarding.
  • Preferred familiarity with ADAS features and sensing technologies including cameras, radar, ultrasonic sensors, LiDAR, and subsystem interactions.
  • Preferred experience integrating automation with TestRail, JIRA, test case management, and defect tracking systems.
  • Ability to build stable lab automation that handles intermittency, hardware dependencies, and test flakiness.
  • Experience collaborating with suppliers and multisite teams on interface definitions and deliverable acceptance criteria.
