Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-throughput, low-latency distributed backend services for pricing solutions at scale.
- Implement caching mechanisms to improve performance, reduce latency, and optimize resource utilization.
- Participate in system design, API design, data modeling, technical documentation, code reviews, and architecture discussions.
- Analyze complex problems, define manageable milestones, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Design and operate distributed, event-driven systems and optimize microservices for low-latency, high-throughput processing.
- Safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions and apply AI/ML concepts to real-world products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent related professional experience.
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Hands-on backend software development experience using Java, Scala, Kotlin, or similar languages, with scalable distributed systems and services.
- Practical knowledge of caching technologies such as Redis, Couchbase, or Memcached, plus relational and NoSQL databases, API patterns, and service-oriented architectures.
- Experience contributing to technical reviews, maintaining high coding standards, and working in Agile collaborative environments.
- Experience with distributed, event-driven systems using Kafka Streams, AWS Kinesis, or similar frameworks.
- Ability to optimize microservices for low-latency, high-throughput processing at significant scale.
- Preferred experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, auto-scaling, blue-green deployments, and SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs.
- Preferred commitment to test-driven development, proactive monitoring, production operations, and safely integrating AI/ML-enabled solutions.
