Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance to business teams, engineers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
  • Lead adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices, including code review, refactoring, testing, release readiness, and incident analysis.
  • Establish validation standards for secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and AI-generated outputs.
  • Use software development lifecycle tools and automation capabilities to improve engineering efficiency at scale.
  • Influence product design, application functionality, technical operations, and engineering processes.
  • Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert and advocate for firmwide engineering frameworks, tools, and practices.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support large-scale distributed applications in mission-critical production environments.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience developing, deploying, and supporting large-scale distributed applications in mission-critical production environments.
  • Proficiency with Java, Spring frameworks, cloud technologies, microservices, secure web services, WebSockets, JSON, OAuth2, LDAP, ADFS, HTTPS, and WSS.
  • Expertise developing web applications with ReactJS, HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, Material UI, and Bootstrap.
  • Experience leading enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, security expectations, and compliant usage coaching.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, automation, continuous delivery, and operational stability.
  • Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle and familiarity with cloud-native engineering.
  • Understanding of financial services industry systems and technical processes.
  • Preferred qualifications include modern front-end experience, AWS exposure, AWS Connect and contact-center concepts, and a BS/BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
