Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Python, FastAPI, GraphQL, and REST endpoints.
- Design and implement efficient APIs that follow RESTful principles and best practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, perform technical feasibility analysis, and support systems development and transformation initiatives.
- Standardize and improve reusable platforms so product teams can build at speed and scale.
- Integrate Open Agent Policy Service for microservice authentication and authorization.
- Ensure solutions meet security and governance requirements.
- Design integrations using SOAP, REST, FTP, DB Adapters, and PL/SQL.
- Document APIs, microservices, development processes, procedures, and knowledge repositories.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship on microservice adoption, customer application integration, and development best practices.
- Travel domestically approximately 5% of the time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Five years of experience as a Microservices Developer, Development Engineer, Systems Engineer, Software Engineer, IT Analyst, or in a related role.
- Five years of IT experience.
- Five years of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development experience.
- Five years of microservices development experience using Python, Java, FastAPI, GraphQL, and REST endpoints.
- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service or similar container orchestration platforms.
- Understanding of application integration technologies such as OIC, Dell Boomi, and Azure.
- Understanding of YAML, JSON, or XML data serialization formats.
- Strong coding, code quality, analytical, conceptual, problem-solving, debugging, and documentation abilities.
- Must be at least eighteen years old.
