Base Salary
$136k - $213k/yr
Responsibilities
- Co-develop USB Type-C and USB Power Delivery interfaces with strategic customers.
- Partner with engineering, sales, and marketing teams to deliver system-level solutions and drive product adoption.
- Develop, customize, debug, and validate C firmware for customer requirements.
- Create and review reference schematics and designs and select suitable components.
- Integrate firmware on customer hardware and support hardware and firmware validation.
- Produce application notes, reference designs, and training for customers and field engineers.
- Capture external product requirements to guide silicon, firmware, and reference-design roadmaps.
- Lead strategic customer designs and reference designs while collaborating with application engineers across regions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in C firmware development and debugging on microcontrollers.
- Experience with USB, I2C, UART, and SPI serial interfaces.
- Experience using oscilloscopes and protocol analyzers.
- Ability to interpret schematics and PCB layouts and select components based on system requirements.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Preferred knowledge of analog design and power-management circuits, including switching regulators, low-dropout regulators, and DC-DC converters.
- Preferred understanding of USB Type-C and USB Power Delivery specifications.
- Experience with ModusToolBox IDE, PSoC Creator, or PSoC-based controllers is a plus.

- Austin, Texas salary range: US$135,900–US$186,900, plus eligibility for an incentive plan.
- San Jose, California salary range: US$155,000–US$213,200, plus eligibility for an incentive plan.
