Responsibilities
- Design, develop, refactor, support, and review server-side Scala applications.
- Collaborate with platform teams to deliver software and maintain high development standards.
- Optimize the GPAS platform for maximum throughput and scalability.
- Build and improve high-scale, distributed, event-driven systems with complex interfaces and integrations.
- Work autonomously, take ownership of tasks, document solutions, and share knowledge with colleagues.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience developing server-side applications in Scala.
- Strong working knowledge of Scala, preferably Scala 3, and SBT.
- Solid experience with Pekko/Akka, including HTTP, Actors, Cluster, Persistence, Streams, and connectors.
- Strong understanding of the JVM, data structures, algorithms, and parallel and concurrent programming.
- Practical experience building high-scale distributed systems with complex interfaces and integrations.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, ownership, and knowledge-sharing skills.
- English communication proficiency is required.
- Experience with Typesafe Config, Couchbase or another document-based NoSQL database, AWS S3, AWS DynamoDB, Play JSON, ScalaTest, Docker, Nomad, Kubernetes, or Linux is advantageous.
- Previous iGaming domain experience is advantageous.
