Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain advanced Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks.
- Lead end-to-end feature delivery, including low-level design, API design, data modeling, deployment, and support.
- Collaborate with product, design, and cross-functional engineering teams to define technical approaches and deliver customer experiences.
- Drive code quality through code reviews, automated testing, continuous integration, and Android engineering best practices.
- Safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions in mobile features and products.
- Improve application observability, performance monitoring, incident resolution, and reusable engineering patterns.
- Lead technical design and architectural improvements for complex Android features and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent related professional experience.
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Professional experience developing and shipping production Android applications using Kotlin, including feature or service ownership from design through deployment and support.
- Experience with Android application architecture, API integration, RESTful services, data modeling, and offline data handling.
- Ability to design and maintain testable, maintainable, and performant Android codebases using modern frameworks, tools, and libraries.
- Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real-world products.
- Preferred: 5+ years as an Android Engineer and advanced Kotlin proficiency.
- Preferred: advanced proficiency with Jetpack components, Jetpack Compose, Android UI/UX best practices, and performance optimization.
- Preferred: deep understanding of MVVM, MVI, and MVP architecture patterns.
- Preferred: experience with technical design, Android architectural improvements, modularization, design patterns, platform standardization, and mentoring engineers.
- Preferred: experience integrating and operating AI/ML-enabled or AI-assisted mobile features and applying on-device ML frameworks or AI-powered developer tools.
