Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Android applications and SDKs in Kotlin.
- Develop Android payment applications for varied devices and form factors.
- Build frameworks and services that help internal and external developers work with Stripe’s custom Terminal platform.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, user researchers, and stakeholders to deliver features and products.
- Establish Android development best practices across Stripe’s mobile and Terminal teams.
- Use user research and product design insights to address developer and consumer needs.
Requirements
- 2–6 years of experience in Android development.
- Strong technical background and the ability to favor simple, scalable, and lasting solutions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- User-focused approach to crafting developer and consumer experiences.
- Preferred: custom hardware experience on Android.
- Preferred: payments expertise or knowledge.
- Preferred: backend infrastructure or services experience.
- Preferred: residence in the PST time zone.
