Responsibilities
- Develop advanced techniques, solutions, and methodologies for customer business process adoption.
- Assist domain experts, scientists, data scientists, and technical engineers in developing AI solutions.
- Define objectives, curate data and algorithms, establish training pipelines, run large-scale experiments, and evaluate models for production deployment.
- Consult with research scientists on theoretical ideas and their practical application to computational engineering solutions.
- Drive the technical sales process from introductory meetings and discovery through post-sales success, upselling, and subscription renewals.
- Design AI solutions using Cloudera AI, AI Inference, AI Studios, and AI Workbench.
- Present product strategy and vision, including AI Agents and Cloud Bursting, to executive stakeholders.
- Create and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations in partnership with Account Managers.
- Represent customer needs to Product Management and Engineering and help translate feedback into roadmap items.
- Participate in conferences, blogs, webinars, publicity, and external technical evangelism.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in pre-sales or solutions engineering.
- Deep experience with Data Engineering, Data Science, or Machine Learning, including familiarity with AI Assistants and Data Services.
- Proficiency with one or more of AWS, Azure, or GCP and understanding of hybrid, public-cloud, and private-cloud deployments.
- Knowledge of enterprise Operations, Security, and Data Governance requirements for safe AI adoption.
- Experience with Big Data, Data Warehousing such as Iceberg, or Relational Databases.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to whiteboard complex architectures and gather business requirements.
- Willingness to learn, curiosity about new use cases, and commitment to customer success.
