Base Salary
$180k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect multi-tenant and hybrid Dynatrace environments, including ActiveGate topology, OneAgent and OpenTelemetry instrumentation, governance, licensing, tagging, and ownership models.
- Design end-to-end observability architectures covering monitoring, logging, metrics, tracing, telemetry pipelines, alerting, event correlation, and service visibility.
- Establish client SRE practices around SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, production readiness, incident response, postmortems, and reliability roadmaps.
- Lead assessments, advisory workshops, modernization initiatives, migrations, and integrations with ITSM, CMDB, event management, and automation platforms.
- Define enterprise standards for telemetry onboarding, naming, tagging, dashboards, alerts, access, runbooks, service ownership, retention, sampling, cardinality, and cost.
- Lead complex programs, solution design, architectural reviews, delivery escalation, executive reporting, and quality oversight.
- Support technical pre-sales activities including scoping, positioning, demonstrations, estimate validation, and client-facing technical narratives.
- Build reusable Dynatrace architectures, governance models, accelerators, and thought leadership content while mentoring architects and consultants.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience in observability, APM, SRE, or related disciplines, including enterprise-scale distributed systems and multi-cloud architecture.
- At least 4 years of hands-on enterprise Dynatrace experience covering architecture, governance, OneAgent, Kubernetes, Smartscape, PurePath, Grail, DQL, Davis AI, SLOs, workflows, automation, and ITSM integration.
- Dynatrace Professional certification, or the ability to attain it within six months; both Dynatrace Professional certifications or Dynatrace partner experience are preferred.
- Applied SRE experience defining SLIs and SLOs, operating error budgets, conducting production readiness and incident reviews, and leading measurable reliability improvements.
- Working expertise in OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, and public cloud monitoring services on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Expertise in platform architecture, API integration patterns, telemetry governance, and automation frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
- Consultative and executive-facing experience leading workshops and translating business needs into architecture and delivery plans.
- Experience mentoring technical teams and familiarity with ITIL, ITSM, DevOps principles, consulting scoping, estimating, and change control.
- Migration experience involving AppDynamics, New Relic, Datadog, Splunk, LogicMonitor, or other monitoring platforms is preferred.
- Experience with telemetry pipeline tools and integrations such as OpenTelemetry Collector, Grafana Alloy, Fluent Bit, Kafka, Cribl, Vector, ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, PagerDuty, Opsgenie, BigPanda, or xMatters is preferred.
- Published thought leadership, conference speaking, named offering or accelerator ownership, and relevant cloud, SRE, ITIL, or FinOps certifications are preferred.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, self-direction, and willingness to travel occasionally are required.
