Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions for Sift’s platform and customers.
- Collaborate with software engineers to optimize application performance and reliability.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging systems for proactive issue detection and resolution.
- Automate deployments and streamline infrastructure management using modern DevOps tools.
- Evolve backend architecture and infrastructure for cloud and on-premises deployments.
- Contribute to roadmap prioritization to maximize customer impact.
- Lead initiatives that improve infrastructure reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Build and operate developer productivity tools, frameworks, and platform-engineering capabilities.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant distributed systems experience focused on designing and managing cloud-based environments.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration platforms.
- Experience or familiarity with developer productivity tools, platform engineering, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems.
- Knowledge of automated integration, performance, and end-to-end testing practices for distributed systems.
- Experience with Go, Java, React, TypeScript, Kafka or Redpanda, Flink, AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform or CDK is preferred.
- Knowledge of cloud, on-premises, networking, and service architecture in multi-region, multi-cloud environments.
- Collaborative, pragmatic, solution-oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity and high ownership in an early-stage startup.
- U.S. Person status is required for ITAR/EAR compliance.
