Base Salary
$159k - $263k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend services in Go for operator decision-making and response.
- Build high-performance APIs for customer-facing workflows and internal platform capabilities.
- Model complex relationships in graph databases and optimize schemas and queries.
- Implement event-driven systems with NATS for real-time operational data streams.
- Develop automated tests and maintain correctness, security, and performance.
- Build and operate microservices deployed on AWS with resilient and cost-aware scaling.
- Create and improve CI/CD pipelines for fast and secure delivery.
- Partner with cyber operations experts and frontend engineers to develop robust product features and efficient API contracts.
- Evaluate technologies and patterns that can improve operational outcomes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience building backend or full-stack applications.
- Strong proficiency with Go and experience shipping production services in Go.
- Experience with graph databases such as Neo4j or AWS Neptune, including schema design and query performance.
- Working knowledge of event-driven architectures and message queues or streaming systems.
- Experience building and maintaining REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS, and cloud-native deployment patterns.
- Hands-on experience with containerization and microservices architectures.
- Strong foundation in secure coding practices and security tradeoffs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred qualifications include defense, security, or mission-critical software experience; systems for analysts or operators; production AI/ML integrations; large-scale data processing; open-source contributions; and observability tooling experience.
