Responsibilities
- Define the technical vision and roadmap for embedded firmware and software validation.
- Design and maintain SIL and HIL validation infrastructure for automated testing.
- Build validation frameworks to improve test coverage and quality reporting.
- Establish validation metrics for test coverage and release readiness.
- Lead validation planning for new features and firmware releases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure testable requirements.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for complex system issues.
- Develop automated test tooling using Python-based frameworks.
- Integrate validation workflows into CI/CD pipelines.
- Use embedded debug tools to resolve defects.
- Mentor junior engineers on validation strategies and best practices.
- Communicate validation status and quality trends to leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical field.
- 8+ years of experience in embedded software validation or firmware testing.
- Experience leading validation strategy for complex embedded systems.
- Demonstrated ability to build automated validation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with RTOS-based or Linux-based embedded systems.
- Strong understanding of embedded architectures and hardware/software interfaces.
- Experience validating connectivity and wireless technologies.
- Proficient in Python and automation frameworks like Robot Framework.
- Familiarity with CI/CD systems and automated validation workflows.
- Experience with SIL and HIL validation environments.
- Knowledge of test management and bug tracking tools.
- Hands-on experience with automotive communication protocols.
- Ability to lead root-cause analysis across various domains.
- Strong communication skills for explaining validation strategies.
