Responsibilities
- Own customer environments across application and infrastructure layers, including configurations, deployments, patching, and scaling.
- Automate runbook-driven tasks such as SQL scripts, queue management, data fixes, and restores.
- Build self-service workflows using PowerShell, Python, Bash, and GitHub Actions.
- Use Copilot and Claude AI for code generation, debugging, log analysis, and root-cause analysis.
- Monitor system health with Datadog, including APM, logs, dashboards, and monitors.
- Respond to alerts using PagerDuty, Opsgenie, and ServiceNow and resolve application and infrastructure incidents.
- Partner with SRE on platform reliability and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
- Document processes, mentor junior engineers, and continuously reduce operational toil through automation.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in systems, operations, or platform engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience across application and infrastructure domains, including production support, monitoring, and incident management.
- Strong AWS Operations experience and basic familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud environments.
- Experience administering Windows Server and Linux, including IIS, RDP, SSH, systemctl, bash, and cron.
- Strong SQL skills covering SSMS, backups, restores, troubleshooting, and data fixes.
- Hands-on Datadog experience and familiarity with PagerDuty, Opsgenie, or ServiceNow.
- Scripting and automation experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash, plus Git and GitHub workflows.
- Knowledge of XML, JSON, property files, server resizing, patching, TLS, certificates, load balancing, IIS, or Apache Tomcat.
- Ability to troubleshoot under pressure, follow and improve runbooks, and automate repetitive processes.
- BTECH educational qualification.
- Preferred experience with Terraform, Ansible, AI/ML-based observability, predictive alerting, or teams combining engineering and operations responsibilities.
