Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement scalable solutions primarily in Python and some Java.
- Develop Generative AI and machine learning software, including agentic applications, LLM integrations, MCP tools, A2A designs, RAG solutions, vector storage, and prompt and context authoring.
- Collaborate with global teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Participate in Agile meetings, provide project status, and adapt solutions to evolving regulatory and business requirements.
- Apply Morgan Stanley’s software development lifecycle standards, governance, proprietary frameworks, and best practices.
- Write comprehensive unit tests and improve code reliability and maintainability.
- Support service improvement and develop new capabilities for the strategic Trade Surveillance platform.
- Use coding assistants and Generative AI tools to improve development velocity and solution quality.
Requirements
- 7+ years of overall development experience, including 5+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
- Strong ability to write optimized, efficient, and clean Python code.
- Experience with coding assistants such as Copilot, including Agent mode and Skills.
- Experience developing Generative AI applications using LLMs, agentic implementations, data integration tools, MCP tools and infrastructure, A2A design and development, RAG data solutions, vector storage, and prompt and context authoring.
- Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipeline management, containerization, and observability tools.
- Ability to design and implement effective solutions to complex problems.
- Strong collaboration, communication, leadership, and enterprise stakeholder-influencing abilities.
- Ability to write thorough unit tests covering major logic components.
- Experience with vendor or open-source agent frameworks and SDKs such as Azure Foundry and Copilot Studio.
- Experience with UI development using Angular or React.
- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix and shell scripting.
- Advanced coding and database skills, including query and code optimization.
- Exposure to web, batch, and streaming application designs and patterns.
- Experience working in global Agile Scrum teams.
