Base Salary
$143k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Review feature and system proposals for reliability, security, operational readiness, and compliance, identifying gaps and mitigations.
- Convert governance requirements into prioritized execution plans, milestones, and measurable quality, security, and compliance outcomes.
- Define and deliver scripting, workflow, and automation improvements that reduce manual or unsafe operational work.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives across Microsoft and NetApp engineering teams, managing dependencies, risks, and delivery status.
- Ensure production changes meet operational readiness and safety standards, including validation readiness, rollback planning, and auditability.
- Document decisions, track risks and issues, and ensure follow-through through closure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience with languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft Cloud Background Check and applicable customer or government security screening requirements.
- Preferred: master’s degree and 8+ years of experience, or bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of public cloud fundamentals, including resource organization, identity and access management, networking, deployment, operations, and cloud service architecture.
- Experience with reliability, security, and operational-readiness specification reviews; large-scale cloud or distributed systems; resiliency, availability, and recovery patterns; Azure management and automation tools; and technical project or program management.
- Familiarity with Azure storage and networking architecture.
Benefits
- Typical U.S. base pay range is USD $142,800-$274,800 per year, with a separate San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area range of USD $188,000-$304,200 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
