Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate foundational platform services for business-domain teams.
- Design and implement Coupang Fintech infrastructure and platforms to achieve zero downtime.
- Lead and implement high-availability and disaster-recovery architecture, including clustering and replication.
- Improve and optimize CI/CD and DevOps tools across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Identify best practices and disseminate them across the team.
- Manage and monitor large-scale operational systems and structurally solve issues arising from organizational and system complexity.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software engineering experience based on Unix/Linux.
- At least 5 years of experience designing and implementing backend architecture.
- Strong coding skills in object-oriented programming and scripting languages.
- Experience with large-scale operational systems that include incident management and monitoring capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: cloud experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Preferred: company-wide experience applying API Gateway and Service Mesh.
- Preferred: strong Java, distributed systems, microservices, and messaging-services experience.
- Preferred: ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
- Preferred: familiarity with Agile software methodologies.
