Responsibilities

  • Guide an immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities.
  • Set guidance and expectations for team output, engineering practices, and collaboration.
  • Anticipate cross-team dependencies and deliver products and applications aligned with business requirements.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and team work according to compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements.
  • Lead adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering, SDLC, and delivery automation practices.
  • Establish standards for human validation, secure handling of inputs and outputs, peer review, automated testing, and reuse of effective engineering patterns.
  • Design, build, debug, and deliver secure, stable, scalable, and distributed technology solutions.
  • Lead technology projects and technical discussions independently.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 12+ years of applied experience.
  • Experience leading technology projects and working at code level.
  • Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Advanced understanding of application resiliency, security, and agile engineering practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial services industry technology systems and practical cloud-native experience.
  • Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, J2EE, MQ, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Dapr, Flink, Kafka, and Apache Iceberg.
  • Proficiency in UNIX, Apache Tomcat, SQL, and JavaScript frameworks.
  • Experience designing distributed applications, managing databases, developing web services, and working with Oracle DDL, DML, and stored procedures.
  • Experience with Selenium for test automation and demonstrated ability to debug complex systems.
  • Experience leading responsible adoption of AI-assisted development and delivery tools, including defining validation practices, measuring outcomes, and ensuring secure data handling.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, data sensitivity, resiliency, security, and governance.
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle in large-scale systems and financial industry experience are preferred.
  • Experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and expertise in technology disciplines are preferred.
