Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end development and implementation of complex features and microservices for the Metadata Catalog platform.
- Collaborate with technical leaders and architects to design modular, scalable, and resilient distributed components.
- Build and optimize low-latency services that manage large-scale graph relationships and data-lineage queries.
- Write unit, integration, and performance tests and promote developer-owned quality.
- Own production services through monitoring, debugging distributed issues, on-call participation, and post-incident reviews.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and design discussions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field plus 6 years of related experience, or a master’s degree plus 3 years of related experience.
- Hands-on proficiency in an object-oriented or systems language such as Go, Java, or C++, with experience designing, developing, and debugging production-grade services.
- Experience building and operating cloud-native microservices using AWS, Azure, or GCP, with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, concurrency, distributed-systems architecture, and RESTful or gRPC API design.
- Experience delivering software in Agile environments with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience diagnosing performance bottlenecks and supporting high availability in distributed environments.
- Preferred experience with graph databases and technologies such as Neo4j, AWS Neptune, Apache AGE, Cypher, Gremlin, and GraphQL.
- Preferred experience with metadata catalogs, data-governance frameworks, schema registries, knowledge-graph platforms, event streaming, and observability tools.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across distributed global engineering teams.
