Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable, reliable, and secure production infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
- Lead container platform migrations from ECS to EKS/GKE and enable microservice architectures across multi-cloud environments.
- Serve as a technical authority for Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
- Partner with development teams to ensure microservice applications are production-ready, scalable, and observable.
- Implement infrastructure as code and automate provisioning, scaling, and configuration management.
- Improve observability, performance, cost efficiency, monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational resilience.
- Define SLOs and SLIs, conduct root cause analyses and blameless postmortems, and improve incident response.
- Lead complex technical projects, manage cross-team dependencies, mentor engineers, and participate in on-call rotations.
- Collaborate with security and compliance partners on infrastructure standards, identity, secrets, and container security.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering roles.
- 3–5 years of production Kubernetes experience with EKS/GKE and related ecosystem tools.
- 3–5 years of experience with AWS and GCP.
- 3–5 years of experience using Terraform for multi-cloud infrastructure.
- 5+ years of coding experience in Python, Go, or similar languages.
- Proven experience leading ECS-to-EKS/GKE migrations and enabling microservice architectures at scale.
- Experience implementing SLOs/SLIs, performing root cause analyses, and improving operational resilience.
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Advanced knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Linux systems, networking, Redis, cloud databases, caching systems, and observability tools.
- Working knowledge of container security, secrets management, and production compliance.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, cross-team leadership, and mentoring skills.
- Experience in SaaS or high-scale cloud-native environments is preferred.
- Strong Linux and security fundamentals are required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent hands-on experience.
