Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end, full-stack cloud architectures on Google Cloud Platform and make technical trade-offs involving performance, scalability, security, and system integration.
- Build and automate production-grade reference code, scripts, and full-stack software components.
- Configure cloud-native CI/CD pipelines, container runtimes such as GKE and Cloud Run, and application telemetry.
- Lead customer discovery workshops and whiteboarding sessions to clarify requirements, support delivery, and scope complex technical opportunities.
- Advise customer practitioners and leadership, resolve engineering blockers, and collaborate with Google Product, Presales, and Professional Services teams.
- Package reusable architectural patterns and reference code from engagements into regional assets and methodologies.
- Travel approximately 30% of the time for client engagements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 years of experience in a customer-facing software engineering or technical consulting role designing and launching cloud solutions.
- Experience deploying container platforms such as GKE and Cloud Run and designing, building, and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Preferred: active Google Cloud PCA or PCD certification.
- Preferred: experience architecting, developing software for, or delivering large-scale cloud solutions in Google Cloud Platform or other public clouds.
- Preferred: experience with API-led, event-driven architectures and messaging, including Apigee, Kafka, and Pub/Sub.
- Preferred: proficiency in Python or another general-purpose language, design patterns, data structures, and testable code using frameworks such as pytest.
- Preferred: aptitude in ASO, including autonomous workflows, LangGraph/LangChain, MCP, or the Google Cloud ADK.
- Fluent English communication skills for the customer-facing role.
