Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement production-grade Daml smart contracts for the digital-assets platform.
- Design multi-asset tokenization workflows across securities, funds, collateral mobility, and digital cash, including on-ledger contracts, off-ledger services, orchestration, and automation.
- Model end-to-end asset lifecycles covering issuance, registry, custody, distribution, settlement, cash management, corporate actions, and asset servicing.
- Design secure and privacy-aware Canton solutions involving participant topology, party and identity models, authorization, data visibility, synchronizer connectivity, package deployment, and operational controls.
- Establish engineering standards for Daml model design, contract lifecycle management, testing, package versioning, observability, performance, resilience, and secure software delivery.
- Integrate tokenization workflows with custody and wallet platforms, cash-settlement rails, identity and compliance services, transfer-agent capabilities, books-and-records systems, and client applications.
- Evaluate emerging blockchain, smart-contract, interoperability, privacy, and cryptographic technologies for institutional tokenization products.
Requirements
- Significant hands-on experience designing and delivering production tokenization systems in financial services or another regulated enterprise environment.
- Strong Daml smart-contract engineering expertise, including templates, choices, contract keys, authorization, interfaces, reusable packages, lifecycle and archival patterns, selective disclosure, upgrades, DAR packaging, and automated testing.
- Demonstrable experience with Canton participant nodes, parties, ledger APIs, distributed-ledger deployment, synchronizers, package deployment, observability, operational controls, high availability, resilience, and disaster recovery.
- Strong capital-markets and tokenization expertise across relevant asset classes such as securitized products, equities, repo, securities financing, collateral, investment funds, tokenized deposits, stablecoins, or digital cash.
- Understanding of institutional asset lifecycles, including issuance, investor eligibility, registry, custody, wallets, distribution, restricted transfers, FoP/DvP settlement, settlement finality, corporate actions, income distributions, asset servicing, and reporting.
- Event-driven, API-first enterprise architecture experience using Java and/or TypeScript, REST/gRPC, and Kafka or equivalent event-streaming platforms.
- Familiarity with CIP-56 or CIP-112 token standards and a minimum of 5 years of Canton and Daml development.
- Preferred experience with EVM-based blockchain tokenization, Solidity, Rust, interoperable bridges and protocols, zero-knowledge-proof cryptography, and agentic AI engineering with governed agents, tool orchestration, evaluation frameworks, human-in-the-loop controls, and specification-driven development.
