Responsibilities
- Design and implement microservices within a saga-choreography architecture.
- Develop event-driven workflows and manage Kafka topics across domain services.
- Implement distributed data persistence and caching strategies.
- Write production-grade code with comprehensive test coverage.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and API design, including OpenAPI specifications.
- Optimize database performance and oversee schema migrations.
- Mentor junior engineers on engineering best practices and domain-driven design.
- Contribute to infrastructure automation and deployment pipelines.
Requirements
- Require 7+ years of professional software development experience, including 3+ years working with distributed systems.
- Require strong proficiency in Java and modern frameworks such as Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
- Require experience with event-driven architecture and message brokers, particularly Kafka.
- Require expertise with PostgreSQL and Redis or comparable caching layers.
- Require understanding of microservices patterns, distributed transactions, and eventual consistency.
- Require working knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
- Require a track record of writing testable, high-quality code and championing engineering best practices.
- Prefer experience with Azure, payment processing or financial systems, API-first development, OpenAPI specifications, and Flyway or other database version-control tools.
