Responsibilities
- Own DDIQ’s technical vision and end-to-end architectural direction.
- Serve as the senior technical authority across backend, frontend, data, infrastructure, and system design.
- Deliver features across multiple services and systems with scalable, secure, and high-quality releases.
- Lead architecture and design tradeoffs involving performance, scalability, and time-to-market.
- Ensure reliability and observability through production monitoring, alerting, and recovery.
- Manage testing, deployments, CI/CD operations, and cost optimization.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across the team.
- Use AI agents to support delivery throughout the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including significant experience designing, building, and operating complex backend systems or data-intensive applications.
- Experience serving as a technical lead or senior engineer responsible for architecture, technical direction, and the health of a scaled enterprise application.
- Strong system design skills spanning application, data, infrastructure, reliability, and operational concerns.
- Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code.
- Experience with mission-critical, API-first SaaS systems and balancing immediate delivery with long-term architecture.
- Passion for data, analytics, and using technology to uncover meaningful insights.
- Experience working at a rapidly evolving, private-equity-backed growth startup.
- Experience in an air-gapped FedRAMP or DoD IL environment is a bonus.
