Base Salary

$108k - $116k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain application features using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
  • Build and enhance REST APIs and integrate them with existing services.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into maintainable solutions with guidance from senior developers and technical leads.
  • Write automated unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and troubleshoot application issues.
  • Investigate defects, diagnose application issues, and implement fixes.
  • Create technical documentation, design diagrams, and API specifications.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, QA engineers, and development partners to clarify requirements and deliver quality software.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and communicate progress, dependencies, and blockers.
  • Support deployments and production troubleshooting with guidance from the team.
  • Apply team standards for secure coding, testing, and maintainable software development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
  • Hands-on development experience with Java and the Spring Framework.
  • Experience with Spring Boot, RESTful web services, and enterprise application development.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming, application debugging, and common software design principles.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience with automated testing, Git, Bamboo, and CI/CD practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD concepts.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks, seek guidance when needed, and collaborate within a team.
  • Exposure to PCF or another cloud application platform.
  • Preferred familiarity with Jira, Confluence, MongoDB or other NoSQL databases, and messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
