Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java and Spring Boot services within a microservices architecture.
- Lead development efforts using Kafka or similar messaging systems in event-driven architectures.
- Design, optimize, and maintain relational database schemas and queries, particularly in PostgreSQL.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and engineering teams on global partner integrations and payment-platform expansion.
- Participate in code reviews, promote coding best practices, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with Java and Spring Boot for backend services, or similar languages and frameworks.
- Strong expertise in microservices architecture and event-driven design.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and data integrity.
- Proficiency in domain-driven design is preferred.
- A strong product mindset, customer focus, and ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong problem-solving, independent working, collaboration, and communication skills.
Benefits
- Starting salary of £87,500 - £111,000 per year.
