Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and maintain APIs supporting web and mobile applications.
- Integrate third-party sports data, video, and commentary providers.
- Write maintainable, testable code and unit tests, and contribute to code reviews.
- Manage deployments across development, test, staging, and production environments.
- Use Git, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Maven, and deployment automation to support delivery.
- Ensure systems are performant, secure, and resilient.
- Identify project-level technical dependencies and participate in sprint planning and delivery meetings.
- Write and maintain technical documentation for APIs and backend components.
Requirements
- Expert-level knowledge of Java 11 or later, Spring Boot, Spring Framework 5 or later, JPA/Hibernate, microservice architectures, API development, Git, JSON, unit testing, Jira, and technical documentation.
- Proficiency with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, Kafka or other messaging platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Maven, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Basic understanding of Python and frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Strong experience delivering robust, high-performance backend services in collaborative, fast-paced environments.
