
Lead Architect-Solution Architecture

Responsibilities
- Design and publish reference architectures and reusable patterns for enterprise connectivity, identity federation, secure integrations, and sensitive-data flows.
- Lead architecture and high-level design reviews, identify significant risks, and drive documented decisions with cybersecurity and risk stakeholders.
- Establish self-service governance checklists, pre-review criteria, architecture council processes, standards, decision records, and escalation paths.
- Provide architectural direction for automation and artificial intelligence initiatives using secure-by-design, resilient, traceable, and auditable patterns.
- Define and improve metrics covering review cycle time, pattern reuse, remediation throughput, and time-to-approval.
- Evaluate third-party products and services for architectural fit, security posture, resilience, and integration approach.
- Partner with delivery teams to adopt approved patterns and integrate governance into engineering workflows.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring remediation and improve operational stability of software applications and systems.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in architecture concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services architecture and modern application programming interface design, including secure integration and failure-aware design.
- Demonstrated experience designing secure data flows and controls for sensitive data in regulated environments.
- Track record of producing reference architectures and reusable standards adopted by multiple teams.
- Experience partnering with cybersecurity, risk, and compliance stakeholders to produce documented architecture outcomes.
- Excellent written communication skills for design documents, decision records, and executive-ready summaries.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure architecture and secure multi-cloud design patterns.
- Understanding of network architecture and security design principles for complex integrations.
- Familiarity with automation architecture, robotic process automation patterns, and related controls.
- Ability to integrate AI-enabled capabilities into cloud-native architectures while meeting resiliency, security, and auditability requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
- Preferred experience with AI or machine learning platform architecture, agentic automation frameworks, Model Context Protocol-style integrations, architecture practices, governance councils, standards programs, data platforms, connectivity, document databases, business intelligence tooling, external registry integrations, and measurable process improvements.
