Base Salary
$80k - $105k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and develop backend services, data and ML pipelines, and product infrastructure.
- Build systems that ingest, process, and reason over structured and unstructured data, including documents, third-party sources, and model outputs.
- Design and implement data-driven microservices and production systems using Python, relational databases, AWS, and asynchronous or serverless workflows.
- Collaborate with full-stack, backend, ML, and platform engineers to design, build, test, and operate systems at scale.
- Take end-to-end ownership of technical systems and contribute to product and R&D initiatives.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production systems.
- Strong Python development skills and solid fundamentals in at least one additional programming language.
- Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
- Experience with AWS and asynchronous or serverless workflows, including services such as EC2 and Lambda.
- Ability to design and build data-driven microservices.
- Degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong design, debugging, problem-solving, ownership, and ambiguity-management skills.
- Curiosity about AI, data, and real-world machine learning applications.
