Responsibilities
- Develop and code application programs with a focus on front-end development.
- Review, analyze, modify, test, debug, and install programming systems for large-scale applications.
- Maintain the operating efficiency of existing application systems.
- Document systems development and revisions.
- Analyze organizational needs and goals for application-system development and implementation.
- Collaborate with product, design, technology teams, business partners, and the broader RBC technology community.
- Use Angular services, dependency injection, routing, reactive programming, REST APIs, design systems, translations, and CSS techniques to build maintainable applications.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional front-end development experience.
- Strong experience with Angular, including services, dependency injection, routing, route guards, classes, decorators, interfaces, types, and generics.
- Understanding of error handling, debugging, troubleshooting, and scalable design-system approaches.
- Understanding of RxJS, including Observables, Signals, and operators such as map, filter, and switchMap.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and consuming them in Angular, including familiarity with HttpClient.
- Experience with design systems or component libraries and the ability to read documentation or source code for custom components.
- Ability to work with dynamic translation keys and translation files, including Transloco.
- Familiarity with utility-first CSS concepts, including mixins, variables, and nesting.
- Experience with micro-frontend architecture is preferred.
- Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive-design practices is preferred.
- Experience in financial services or fintech is preferred.
