Base Salary

$161k - $202k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead a software project from requirements analysis through deployment and own its technical deliverables across the full lifecycle.
  • Manage a large cross-functional team and provide technical guidance to QA, PMO, IT Operations, business analysts, and development teams.
  • Design scalable, high-availability, fault-tolerant, multi-tier systems and provide solution architecture for business problems.
  • Design and implement application enhancements, prototypes, framework evaluations, data models, database schemas, SQL stored procedures, and queries.
  • Refactor applications, conduct design and code reviews, enforce software development standards, and support quality and stability initiatives.
  • Diagnose and resolve application performance, scalability, bottleneck, and system resource utilization issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, MIS, or a combination of education and experience.
  • At least ten years of development experience as a middleware engineer and at least seven years architecting and building high-volume, fault-tolerant, highly available, globally distributed systems in Linux environments.
  • Experience with Java, server-side JavaScript under Node.js or Meteor, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, JavaScript, JQuery, AngularJS, ReactJS/Redux, and Backbone.
  • Experience with JBoss/Wildfly, Spring Boot, Tomcat, Linux, HTTP, SOAP/REST web services, microservices, XML, JSON, EJBs, Spring Framework, and Maven.
  • Experience with unit testing, integration testing, TDD, CI/CD build servers, ORM frameworks, message queuing or brokering systems, SQL and NoSQL databases, and Java scalability and performance practices.
  • Strong object-oriented design, enterprise design patterns, database design, domain data modeling, communication, cross-functional collaboration, and independent project ownership skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; must be authorized to work in the United States and pass a criminal background check.
  • Master’s degree, airline or hospitality experience, ecommerce experience, cloud platform knowledge, Java-based IoC frameworks, domain-driven design, and data modeling are preferred or highly desired.
