Base Salary

$120k - $261k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead forward-deployed technical engagements with strategic Windows enterprise customers.
  • Diagnose Windows deployment, management, update, application, performance, reliability, and security issues and create remediation plans.
  • Design, prototype, automate, implement, and validate customer-specific technical solutions using code, scripts, tools, utilities, configurations, and policies.
  • Partner with Windows, Intune, and other product engineering teams to investigate cross-product issues and drive fixes, telemetry improvements, and supportability changes.
  • Convert customer solutions into reusable playbooks, tools, patterns, implementation guidance, and diagnostic approaches.
  • Communicate technical findings, risks, tradeoffs, decisions, and progress to customers, field teams, product engineers, IT leaders, and executives.
  • Demonstrate measurable improvements in customer install-base health and maintain accountability for customer outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in forward-deployed, customer-facing software, field, consulting, escalation, support, or solutions architecture engineering roles is preferred.
  • Knowledge of enterprise Windows environments, including provisioning, deployment, Intune, Autopilot, device management, OS and update management, application management, performance, reliability, and security is preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues using data, logs, diagnostic tools, PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, Windows Performance Analyzer, Windows diagnostic tooling, or comparable technologies is preferred.
  • Experience building or modifying scripts, automation, diagnostic tools, prototypes, reference implementations, or production-quality technical solutions using Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar technologies is preferred.
  • Ability to identify systemic patterns and root causes, translate findings into customer solutions and product feedback, and communicate complex technical information clearly is preferred.
  • Ability to convert individual customer solutions into repeatable approaches and influence product priorities with technical evidence and business impact is preferred.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check, is required.

Benefits

  • The typical U.S. base pay range is $119,800-$234,700 per year, with a separate San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area range of $160,200-$261,000 per year.
  • Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
  • The position is open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until filled.
