Base Salary
$192k - $288k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of backend-heavy software systems for connected devices.
- Own complex technical initiatives from problem framing through implementation.
- Drive architecture and technical decision-making for scalable systems.
- Partner with various stakeholders to translate requirements into execution plans.
- Build and improve software foundations for major Device Software initiatives.
- Raise the technical bar for backend quality and operational excellence.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews and technical leadership.
- Identify platform gaps and workflow improvements to enhance delivery speed.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong backend engineering experience, including API design and scalable services.
- Proficient in Python for production systems.
- Experience with modern web applications using Next.js and TypeScript.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and backend tooling like AWS and Docker.
- Experience debugging complex production issues and improving reliability.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
