Responsibilities
- Design and build real-time streaming infrastructure for voice conversations.
- Optimize low-latency serving systems for speech models.
- Develop public and internal APIs for voice capabilities.
- Own the audio transport layer to ensure smooth conversations.
- Build observability and quality-measurement systems for voice.
- Collaborate with Audio research to transition models to production.
- Work with mobile and product engineering on audio capture and playback.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in building distributed systems or real-time infrastructure.
- Experience shipping production systems with low latency.
- Comfortable working across the stack from transport protocols to APIs.
- Results-oriented with a focus on flexibility and impact.
- Willing to take on tasks outside of the job description.
- Enjoy pair programming and collaboration.
- Care about the societal impacts of voice AI.
