Base Salary
$168k - $178k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality backend applications
- Lead the backend system roadmap with a focus on scalability and reliability
- Develop features that improve customers’ shopping experiences
- Own and lead major product components through delivery
- Collaborate across teams to build alignment and drive effective product outcomes
- Plan and execute projects from inception through deployment and maintenance
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend development experience with a strong record of project delivery
- Proficiency in backend languages such as Ruby or Go
- Foundation in unit testing and problem-solving
- Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Experience building scalable solutions and architectures
- Familiarity with ML model development and iteration
- Knowledge of developing applications using GraphQL
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog
- Database management experience, particularly with PostgreSQL and AWS OpenSearch
