Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve scalable, maintainable, and secure software solutions.
- Build backend services and frontend applications using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, ReactJS, Redux, JavaScript, and HTML5.
- Develop and deploy containerized applications using OpenShift and Kubernetes.
- Manage and improve infrastructure, deployment pipelines, CI/CD, and DevSecOps practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and other business functions to define requirements and deliver solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, promote code quality and knowledge sharing, and apply unit testing practices.
- Use messaging and event-driven technologies such as IBM MQ and Kafka.
- Identify and mitigate risks, strengthen controls, and contribute to governance and policy development.
- Potentially lead development teams, mentor engineers, conduct performance-related activities, and guide technical decision-making.
- Analyze complex information, communicate with stakeholders, and influence outcomes across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, JPA/Hibernate, and Test-Driven Development.
- Hands-on experience with ReactJS, Redux, JavaScript, HTML5, and modern frontend frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, SQL, and NoSQL database technologies.
- Experience with containerized application development and deployment using OpenShift or Kubernetes.
- Experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, SonarQube, Wiz, Prisma, Maven or Gradle, and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience with IBM MQ, Kafka, or similar messaging and event-driven platforms.
- Experience working in Agile delivery teams within banking or financial services.
- Preferred experience leading development teams, conducting code reviews, mentoring, and making technical decisions.
- Preferred knowledge of payment systems, corporate banking, lending, transaction banking, observability, monitoring, application security, secure coding, legacy modernization, Domain Driven Design, event-driven architecture, and API-led integrations.
