Responsibilities
- Design scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure for large software projects using MongoDB.
- Advise customers on MongoDB architecture patterns, optimization strategies, business value, and modernization approaches.
- Own technical presales activities including discovery, demonstrations, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation.
- Partner with sales teams on account planning, opportunity qualification, pipeline generation, and multi-threaded account strategies.
- Generate demand through technical initiatives, trade shows, and account-based marketing events.
- Build customer relationships, develop champions, and support customer success and satisfaction.
- Provide field feedback to the product team and mentor other Solutions Consulting team members.
- Travel up to 25%.
Requirements
- Ideally 12+ years of related customer-facing experience, including at least 3 years in presales with enterprise software preferred.
- At least 3 years of professional experience with scripting languages such as Python, Node.js, or SQL and/or languages such as C/C++, Java, or C#.
- Experience designing scalable, highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Experience reviewing complex application architectures with customers and recommending technology improvements.
- Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal, and technical and business concept communication skills.
- Ability to strategize with sales teams and align internal and ecosystem resources around account plans.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred experience includes selling databases, deploying applications with major cloud providers, database programming, data models, data engineering, AI/ML projects, legacy modernization, and sales frameworks such as MEDDPICC and Command of the Message.
