Responsibilities
- Build and extend Go services, database schemas, and REST API endpoints for the k0rdent AI platform.
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for changes.
- Debug failures across API responses, service code, workflow orchestration, and Kubernetes clusters.
- Contribute to internal tooling, automation, and client SDKs.
- Participate in code reviews and progressively provide feedback to peers.
- Write and update technical documentation.
- Learn unfamiliar technologies and deliver working solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated ability.
- Alternatively, 6 months to 1 year of related experience is stated in the education and experience section.
- Solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, concurrency, networking, HTTP, and databases.
- Proficiency in at least one systems or backend language such as Go, Java, C++, Rust, C#, or Python, with the ability to become productive in Go quickly.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational data modeling.
- Comfort with Git, the command line, and Linux.
- Evidence of self-driven building through internships, personal projects, open-source contributions, hackathons, or extended coursework.
- Ability to communicate technical problems and proposed fixes clearly in writing to a distributed team.
- A demonstrated project that the candidate can explain in detail and a willingness to receive rigorous code review.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Preferred qualifications include exposure to Go, containers, Kubernetes, Docker, kubectl, Helm, AWS, Azure, GCP, REST API design, OpenAPI, client SDKs, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, AI/ML infrastructure, GPU computing, distributed systems, Python, TypeScript, open-source work, security or systems programming coursework, or CTF participation.
