Responsibilities
- Build highly scalable and fault-tolerant data ingestion systems for millions of Allegro customers.
- Process clickstream data from Allegro websites and mobile applications at up to 5 billion events per day and 150,000 events per second.
- Design and implement distributed data storage and processing solutions using on-premise and cloud services.
- Choose appropriate technologies and take ownership of created services and solutions.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers across Allegro’s Data & AI organization.
Requirements
- Professional programming experience with Scala or Java and Python.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, data storage, and data processing frameworks such as dbt, Spark, or Apache Beam.
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, especially Dataflow and Composer, or other public cloud environments such as Azure or AWS.
- Ability to work effectively with Unix/Linux systems.
- Knowledge of clean code, code review, TDD, and CI/CD practices.
- English proficiency at B2 level.
- Positive attitude, teamwork skills, and commitment to ongoing professional development.
