Responsibilities

  • Analyze release notes, code changes, and application landscapes to assess upgrade impacts.
  • Analyze and debug custom and base code to develop workarounds and solutions for customers and third-party implementation teams.
  • Use Duck Creek upgrade tools to generate differential analyses and low-impact upgrade paths.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities and utilities that improve software upgrade efficiency.
  • Engage with customers to triage issues, provide technical guidance, and deliver solutions.
  • Configure and triage Policy, Claims, Party, and Loss Control applications.
  • Validate upgraded applications for functionality, stability, and alignment with client expectations.
  • Collaborate with development, quality assurance, client support, technical leadership, and project management teams.
  • Communicate issues and risks that may affect upgrade timelines and project schedules.
  • Review, mentor, and share knowledge with team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science is strongly preferred.
  • At least 3 years of related industry experience in system development and implementation.
  • Proficiency in analysis, development, triage, and implementation of Duck Creek suite products.
  • Proficiency with .NET, C#, Angular, Node.js, Azure DevOps or GitHub, and MSSQL/SQL Server databases.
  • Proficiency with an integrated development environment.
  • Knowledge of insurance domain concepts, preferably P&C insurance software applications and their software development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of Azure Portal, Key Vault, Storage, File Storage, Azure Function Apps, Azure DevOps, Octopus, Jenkins, PowerShell, and AWS is a plus.
  • Knowledge of TFS, GitHub, Git workflows, Power BI Reporting, MirrorMe, and SQL Yuniql Tool is a plus.
  • Experience with systems integration across Policy, Billing, Claims, DMS, Reinsurance, Loss Control, and third-party systems is a plus.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, analytical problem-solving, adaptability, accountability, and decision-making skills.
