Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-traffic features and partner integrations across backend services, APIs, frontend applications, infrastructure, and databases.
- Write production-ready code and own unit, integration, and end-to-end test automation standards.
- Own operational quality, observability, reliability, SLOs, monitoring, alerting, and incident response readiness for services.
- Apply secure engineering practices and compliance-aware data architecture to sensitive consumer, financial, and marketplace data.
- Use and promote AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering workflows.
- Drive project scope, timelines, cross-functional dependencies, and delivery while communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience building and scaling distributed systems and high-traffic consumer-facing products.
- Proven full-stack depth across backend services, RESTful and GraphQL APIs, modern frontend frameworks such as React, and cloud or DevOps environments.
- Strong experience with Node.js and microservice architectures.
- Experience with search, marketplace, listing-based, or financial services products and partner API integrations.
- Experience owning production infrastructure, observability, SLOs, and incident management.
- Strong project management and independent execution skills in an agile, matrixed environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience integrating AI-assisted development tools into daily workflows.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures, data pipelines, federated GraphQL, AWS, Kubernetes, and containerization.
- Understanding of financial data sensitivity and compliance considerations, including RESPA and TILA awareness.
- Comfort working in a data- and metrics-driven engineering culture aligned with performance KPIs.
