Base Salary
$186k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI SDLC and spec-driven development frameworks, including GitHub Spec Kit, OpenSpec, and BMAD-METHOD, and decide whether to adopt or build a platform.
- Architect and own the platform roadmap from prototype through company-wide rollout, including spec authoring, agent orchestration, and validation gates.
- Build tooling and services that make spec-driven development the default workflow for Engineering teams.
- Instrument the platform to measure adoption, delivery velocity, and friction.
- Design self-service workflows allowing product managers and other non-engineers to author and iterate on specs.
- Integrate the platform with CI/CD, Kubernetes, and deployment infrastructure in partnership with DevOps.
- Partner with Machine Learning Engineering on model selection, context design, and agent guardrails.
- Collaborate with Security Engineering on authentication and auditability.
- Drive organization-wide adoption through documentation, training, and metrics demonstrating delivery improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in platform engineering, developer experience, or a closely related discipline.
- Hands-on experience building or driving organization-wide adoption of a development platform.
- Working knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, and Python.
- Track record of building internal tools and platforms that teams adopted.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong judgment about where AI can genuinely accelerate software delivery.
- Product mindset and ability to build support across DevOps, MLE, Security, and Engineering leadership.
