Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and support secure, scalable cloud-native enterprise applications.
- Build Java and Spring backend services, RESTful APIs, event-driven integrations, microservices, and Angular frontend applications.
- Deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes in Google Cloud Platform or a comparable enterprise cloud environment.
- Integrate applications with messaging, serverless, analytics, data, identity, authentication, authorization, logging, monitoring, and data-protection services.
- Support Okta implementation and integration using OAuth, SAML, and OpenID Connect.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, data engineers, DevSecOps, quality engineers, security teams, product owners, and business analysts.
- Participate in Agile planning, backlog refinement, demonstrations, retrospectives, releases, code reviews, technical design discussions, and incident resolution.
- Apply secure coding, accessibility, performance, documentation, federal security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
- Contribute to prototypes, proofs of concept, reusable components, development standards, software quality, automation, and developer productivity improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience, including enterprise application development.
- Strong experience with Java and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate or JPA.
- Experience building RESTful APIs, event-driven services, and microservices-based applications.
- Hands-on front-end development experience using Angular.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployment.
- Understanding of application security, identity federation, secure software development, and federal compliance requirements.
- Understanding of Agile development, DevSecOps, automated testing, and software development lifecycle practices.
- Strong collaboration, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to federal government contract requirements.
- Preferred qualifications include GCP, AWS, Azure, Firebase, Cloud SQL, AppSheet, Harness, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Okta, Checkmarx, Invicti, Drupal, cloud or Kubernetes certifications, Security+, CISSP, Gemini, and GitHub Copilot experience.
